New development at Dunsfold Park

On 29th March 2018, the Secretary of State made his decision on the called-in planning application for the creation of a new housing development at Dunsfold Park.  He has endorsed Waverley Borough Council's decision, so the building of 1,800 new homes, a new school, community centre, business space and supporting infrastructure will go ahead.

The Parish Council worked with our neighbouring parishes on representation at the Public Inquiry and despite our best efforts, this is not the decision we were hoping for.  The full details of the Secretary of State's decision can be viewed by clicking the link below:

Bramley Neighbourhood Plan (BNP)

A committee, reporting to Bramley Parish Council, is working on the BNP.  The main role of the plan is to allocate preferred sites on which the minimum of 90 new properties that the modified Waverley Local Plan requires to be built in the Parish over the period 2013-2032 can be constructed.  Given that 66 properties have already been constructed, or given planning permission, it is anticipated that allocation of sites should be readily achievable.

Future of the Downs Link - survey results

In December 2017, Bramley Parish Council sought the help of Bramley residents in shaping the Bramley Neighbourhood Plan (BNP) by providing their opinion on potential future uses of the Downs Link through a short questionnaire.  The question of the future of the Downs Link is recurring in relation to supporting recreation provision, pedestrian, cycle and equestrian provision, and also maintaining a green corridor through the village.

Results of the survey can be viewed by clicking here.

Public Access Defibrillator in the centre of Bramley village

We are planning to install a public access defibrillator in the centre of the village.  Discussions with Waverley Borough Council have taken place concerning where the equipment can be placed.  Bramley High Street is in a Conservation Area, so a planning application will need to be prepared and submitted.  We'll keep you posted on how this project progresses.
